It's called "The Nila"
I decided to name my first creation after my Grandma Nila because she graciously gave her time to help refine my sewing skills. She, herself, is a master seamstress. And the tradition of Grandma's teaching Granddaughters to sew is and will continue to be a family keepsake.
Nila is a fitting name. Elegant, unique and beautiful. In Hebrew it means "she who succeeds and acquires." Definitely something that describes my Grandma and something I'm hope CD will be!!
Very exciting times for CD!
The Nila is a simple skirt, but honestly was a little hard for me. I can't wait until I can crank them out in two hours or less. Watch out people they are coming!

I hope you love it. I do! It's a champagne lace but doesn't show well in the picture. I personally think it looks much better in person!
Cheers to my first skirt! All you tall girls out there, this one's for you!!!!
The Fabric
Adding extra inches to the pattern!
Lace is tricky!!!
Grandma taking over for a bit
Obviously wasn't dressed to wear the skirt but had to put it on regardless!
YAY! Look at that length!
Up close details!
We did it! First skirt officially made CD is in business!!
